Andy Hume is the founder and Creative Director of Artist Logs. Working on the web for nearly ten years, he is the editor of the highly influential and award-winning web development site, UsableType. He also writes for a number of web development and design publications in the the UK and is in demand as a speaker at design colleges and institutions around the world.

As a musician he has worked in many fields. Recording for the likes of BBC Television & Radio, ITV, Channel 4, Film 4, Polygram Film, and the RSC; and as an orchestral musician for the English Symphony Orchestra, London Concert Orchestra, Brandenburg Sinfonia, London Soloists Orchestra, and Philharmonie der Nationen, as well as holding the Co-Principal Trumpet position of the Orquestra do Algarve for two years.

His experience in both industries gives him a unique insight into working with artists and arts organisations on the web.
